Landing a dream job is a significant achievement in any career. For a time, I was fortunate enough to experience this, thriving and motivated in a role that seemed perfect. However, everything changed with the arrival of a new leader for the team, whose leadership style drastically altered the work environment.

As an IT technical support engineer with extensive experience working remotely for international web hosting companies, I am increasingly frustrated with the hiring practices of tech companies in Egypt. Despite my proven track record, I am often rejected simply because I do not have a bachelor’s degree. This outdated requirement disregards my skills and achievements, highlighting a broader issue within the local tech industry.

It’s funny how time flies. The last time I promised to write anything here was in 2019. That’s right—it’s been years since I’ve thought about expressing my thoughts, sharing my experiences, or even giving a simple update on my website. Looking back, I can’t help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. How did I let so much time slip by without reconnecting with this space that once meant so much to me?
